VENOMOUS PINKS
DELIVERING DIY PUNK WITH ATTITUDE
The Venomous Pinks are ready to raise hell and dish out their style of music with attitude that is in your face and takes no prisoners. They are doing things their way and make no apologies.
As one of the only all female punk bands from the Phoenix area, they have been taking names and rocking clubs and festivals with a vengance and making lots of fans everywhere and getting respect from their peers.
With Drea Doll on guitar/vocals, Gaby Kaos on guitar/bass/vocals, Miranda Duffy on guitar and Jukie on drums, be prepared for plenty of intoxicating, high energy, in your face attitude with a solid sound that will pump your veins with sweaty rock and roll.
The band have released 4 EPs and opened for several acts including Johnny Rotten’s PiL, Swingin Utters, CH3, Teenage Bottlerocket, The Business, The Freeze, Betty Blowtorch, Sean & Zander, The Adicts, The Queers, Authority Zero, The Lawrence Arms, The Creepshow, The Phenomenauts, Naked Aggression, The Weirdos, Guttermouith, The Copyrights,The Last, and TSOL with many more performances along the way and to come. The Venomous Pinks have not looked back since starting in the garage in 2012 and are reved and ready to continue their torid pace in 2018. "The Venomous Pinks is a quartet of girls, ready to break the rules. As one of the only all girl rock bands in the Phoenix area, they will break your heart and bust your balls. Come to a show and you are guaranteed to have an awesome time rocking out to our music with your friends. It is not just a show, but an experience you will not forget! We are who we are and we will always stay true personally and musically. We have common musical influences like Joan Jett, L7 and TSOL, and also bands and musicians that have inspired how we each play our instruments. However, our music is also birthed from our own lives and experiences."
The Venomous Pinks are four musicians who will throttle your soul with their intense brand of music filled to the brim with rebellion and punk attitude. They have the energy and determination to back it up and are ready to continue their musical assault in 2018 with the video release of Pizza Slice.
With all of the shows and videos, eps and press the Pinks have received as a DIY band they are take the biggest vibe from keeping true to themselves and playing from the heart and soul. "Well, I could sit here and tell you we played with all these internationally known bands, festivals, made music videos, etc., blah, blah, but in reality our biggest accomplishment has been keeping this project going for as long as it has and staying true to what we want to do with it. We are the definition of a DIY band and we are very proud of that. Being a DIY band, whatever we set our minds to we accomplished. We set the bar, the standard, and went for it. That’s what it takes; hard work and dedication. And of course, we have to credit our fans, friends and family for their support throughout the years. Without them we would not have made it this far." Arizona lacked a solid, holds no bar girl punk band so we decided to come together and create music we love."
"This band has been through a journey of identity and discovering who we are and what we want people to take us for. We have come to a place in the band’s history where we know who we are; we are musicians. We don’t define ourselves as a feminist band or a female empowered band. It isn’t about gender. What it comes down to is our individual personalities, life experiences, and musical talent that makes us The Venomous Pinks."
We don’t put up with the criticism it anymore. We still get comments and
predispositions that go along with the stereotypical characteristics of
being an all girl band, but it’s all in how you handle it. It used to bother us a lot when we first started out, but today it goes in one ear and out the other. We are established as musicians and if people can’t see past
our gender then it is their problem."
Describing their live performances, "To put it simply: Jaw dropping, mouth watering, high energy entertainment from start to finish." Music you need to get your hands on and in your ears to get your blood pumping. You won't go wrong with the Venomous Pinks in your blood. You may feel an instant surge in energy and loss of breath so be prepared for something good!
Having released We Do It Better in 2017 the band is already working on new material for the next release. " Like us on Facebook, following us on Instagram, Twitter, and you can find our music on itunes, spotify, pandora, and amazon."
"We are in the process of writing our next album and hope to release something by January 2019" , and what you are planning here in the rest of the year. "we are taking some time to write, write, write" You just released a new video this summer? What is that about? we did a music video for pizza slice. in crust we trust. it was a fun house show and shot by Alexander Thomas Any follow up to We Do It Better? Plans? writing and then hopefully scheduling more tour dates out side of arizona...looking at california, oregon and washington."
