JUVENILE HALL
Juvenile Hall is breaking the rules
Get ready for Juvenile Hall—a band from Vancouver in Canada that are breaking the rules and taking on the world with a no-holds attitude and energetic music. “Our musical influences range from Redd Kross to Girlschool to the Supreme’s to the Germs and everything in between. Our sound is as unique as we are because we bring so much of our own influences to the table. So in short it’s a lot of guts, rhythm, spit and vocals.”
Juvenile Hall formed in 2008 and includes Skid Knee on bass and vocals, Sadie on guitar and vocals and Krissy on drums and vocals. They play garage punk music with plenty of attitude.
One thing is certain, JH have fun making music. “In the past people may not have taken us seriously. We didn't either but it was never about being serious more about having fun, it still is.”
The band released a full length CD a year ago with Magazine Collage on Dental Records in Canada that features 13 originals. “It took a long time to come out and we didn't really release it at an opportune time (turns out early November isn't a good time to release a record). But despite that people really like it and we've sold a bunch of copies. Gordon Nicholls from the Pointed Sticks did an amazing job with recording and mixing. We're super happy with how it sounds and the fact we made a 12" vinyl record! Fun fact: We put together the collage on the front.”
“We’re about having fun and not giving a damn, come join us if you want to party and dance your brains out!”
