THE ICARUS LINE

BLOOD SPLATTERED MUSIC FOR THE SOUL....

You do not want to mess with the Icarus Line—they bite back!  Yes, this band is pissed and going to throw a fistful of energetic music at you with no regrets.  The Los Angeles punk band have been through a wild ride over the past 15 years since forming in 1998 and deliver some fierce punches with their new release Slave Vows which will hook you with its energetic magnetism and described as ‘blood-splattered rock and roll’. Slave Vows released on Agitated Records is full of Stooges raw power with a live feel and intensity bursting at the seams as Cardamone  erupts with a fury.   The band has toured with Killing Joke and The Cult over the past couple of years and is headlining a tour that kicks off in October.

The lineup includes Joe Cardamone on vocals, Alvin DeGuzman on bass, Jeff Watson on drums, James Striff on guitar and Jason DeCourse on guitar.

New up and coming bands with punk aspirations can take a lesson from the Icarus Line who deliver in your face music with the energy and vibe that will knock you off your feet.  A recipe that Cadamone said is “Two punch of salt in boiling water.”

As for the Salve Vows Cardamone said, “I guess it was inspired by looking at the people around me that I see and creating a document about our lives.  It was made in a post-apocalyptic time for music. Also, we made it fast and live.”

The Icarus Line is one of the true legends of punk rock that you need to find and embrace.   Slave Vows is a must have and a live show a must experience for anyone who dares cross the line that Cardamone draws with his music.
