MIRCERA
BORN TO ROCK!
Anyone who has heard Mircera will agree they are something special. The Akron rock band play honest rock and roll and have plenty of energy behind their music as well as true quality musicianship that take this young band to another level. With musical influences that include Tool, Led Zeppelin, Mastodon, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Parker, Periphery, Pink Floyd, Rush, Todd Rundgren, Black Sabbath, you know that these guys rock with a solid foundation and create plenty of intense original songs.
“Cody (guitar) and Jesse (drums) met by chance and started making music almost right away. They added Cody’s longtime friend Mitch (bass) to the mix, and began working together writing instrumental music. Cody and Tim (vocals, keys) have been making music together for almost a decade and eventually he joined the band.”
Mircera are truly a band about making music. They are fueled by the opportunity to play as simple as that is. “We like to play music. We want the same thing our idols wanted to do – have fun and make music. We don’t want to over complicate it – we just want to make music.”
You get a taste of what fuels the band musically when it comes to describing the music Mircera plays. “It’s music we’d want to listen to. It’s a conglomeration of our influences, moods, and our abilities as players that best describe our music. We all come from different backgrounds – jazz, rock, metal and classical. We don’t strive to be versatile, but our influences and our styles lead us to that result. We like all kinds of music – we don’t want to box ourselves into one genre. We believe that our versatility is a big asset.”
Mircera are currently working on a ten-song demo release and doing a few local shows. Cody writes the music. It’ll be an idea that comes to him, or a feeling he gets, or something he was noodling with and ended up really liking. It’s something authentic he’s spent time with, and that we all spend time with in practice as we put our parts and ideas together and eventually record them. Lyrically, Tim mainly focuses on storytelling, what the song makes him feel, or a concept as he understands it.”
And what to expect from a live show is pretty much straight forward as the members of the band are in real life. “We feel like it’s a pretty genuine experience – who we are onstage is who we are offstage, at practice, etc...We’ve got a good chemistry together and that definitely shows.”
"We have 4 songs available now and are always adding more to our SoundCloud. Just search “Mircera”. You can also find us on Facebook (Mircera) and Instagram (@mircera.band)."
Mircera are a band you will want to experience live and feel the intensity in their music as each of the members brings a great passion of music and musicianship to the stage and it reflects in the quality of the music and performance.
