Ohio’s Bad Girls of Rock Ready to Roll…
It is pretty hard to not notice or feel some excitement about a band that brings talent and creativity to the stage along with a deep desire to entertain with a deep passion for making music. 11 After not only have been putting out some great music, but are already creating excitement in the New Year with new music, video and tour plans. Get ready for Ohio’s bad girls of Rock and roll who come out of Akron and are ready to be the next Go Go’s with their energetic straight ahead rock beat.
The band formed 6 years ago by lead singer/songwriter Deanna Cruise and includes Cyn City on lead guitar, Nasty Morgan on bass and Kit Katt Grimm on the drums.
Their CD “Because I Said So” was a local smash hit and the girls are currently fine-tuning new material for their highly anticipated new release in the summer of 2013 called "Too Old N Ugly". They have just finished up their 4th video "Choose Me" which will be released with the block buster hit indie movie "Unavailable" which is coming out this summer.
11After has extensively toured across the U.S. and on the east coast and in the Midwest in particular and been a featured band at Cleveland’s House of Blues, played Live at Lock 3 in Akron and been performing in every club they can find for a show. They often donate part of their proceeds to local non-profits and have always supported the Akron/Cleveland music and art scene.
Rocking out with 11 After
Cruise says what makes 11 After different from other bands is the “it” factor. “We are all musicians we love what we do but mostly we entertain not just stand on stage and play our songs, we engage with the audience, we love our fans, I think you can tell on stage that we as a group respect and love each other like sisters.. That makes all the difference in the world.”
Adding to the motivation of their natural love and desire to create their own music, being an all female band sets the stage for them to prove they can rock. Cruise said they are told women can’t rock. “Male artists telling us to our face girls can’t rock. Or girls can’t shred guitars. etc.. It truly is a male industry but look out we are about to change all that. We are some tough nuts.. No pun intended. Lol
The band will release a new CD titled “Old N Ugly”. Cruise said, “We are pretty proud of it, it’s about love, life death war, ect.. A lot of emotion went into this cd. We have a new single that will be coming out this spring followed by a new video to hit early summer.
As for the band name, 11 After, Cruise says that it is a secret that is not to be revealed just yet. “We have kept the 11after name a secret for a long time.. It is important to me that I keep it that way for a while, it’s so funny that’s the first thing people want to know.. There’s a marketing ploy there..lol
