ELECTRIC GRAFFITI

NO KIDS STUFF -- THESE TEENS KNOW HOW TO ROCK

Get ready for Electric Graffiti who are going to take the music world by storm with a sound that is bound to hook all who listen.  The band formed in 2010 in Rochester, Michigan and currently are freshmen in high school and actually began while in sixth grade for a school talent show.

Electric Graffiti include Brooklynn White on Drums, Candace Groff on lead vocals, Cecile Herledan on bass, Rachi Willard on lead guitar, and Izzy Hooper on rhythm guitar.

They released their debut EP “Kicked off the Bus” early in 2013 and recorded with famed producer Eric Hoegemeyer at Rustbelt Studios.  The band received accolades with their performance at DIY Festival in Ferndale, Michigan in 2011 and was called the high point of the festival with over 50 bands on the bill.  The band released a video in January for their song “Not Forgotten” which was inspired by the response to the multiple shootings from Columbine to Sandy Hook which celebrates the victims without further publicity for the perpetrators. “We are ready to get out, explore the world, and make music and great friends along the way! Between the 5 band members we can speak 5 different languages, and, if we can make it happen, we'd definitely be interested in going on a tour through Europe before we're through.”

Electric Graffiti are not about to follow any trends and are out to make a mark with their own original brand of alternative rock music with influences that range from the Beatles to the Ramones.  Plenty of rock and alternative bands included.  “We can't use the beer tickets you pay us with, and sometimes were not even old enough to get into our own shows. And we get the impression that a lot of females in music feel they need to twerk or be over-sexualized to be noticed- but we think this gross and degrading, why not let the music speak for itself.”

“The most notable thing about our band is the diverse cultural backgrounds we come from that help us see the world uniquely and better connect with people. And we're all girls- it brings a different aspect to the stage and breaks the monotony of so many shows without a female presence.”

"Kicked Off The Bus." Is a 4 song EP that is available on I-tunes and on the Electric Graffiti web site.   “A lot of our music focuses on both personal and larger, political issues that we have been impacted by.”

“We write about the things that are important to us both personally and in the context of our entire society. For example our original 'Not Forgotten' shifts the focus of all these horrible shootings off the shooter and onto the victims.”

Believe me, Electric Graffiti will convince you that this is no gimmick and teenie boper band.  These girls are musicians worth watching and supporting.  Catch them while you can.
“We are a genuine rock band- no back tracks or auto tune. We are three singers, two guitars, a bass, and drums.”

"We are really excited about our new website that is now up and running:electricgraffitiband.com. It was designed for us Tommy Onyx, a friend of ours who owns Loud Baby Productions."

You can find the band by reaching out to them on their new web site, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, iTunes, and Spotify.
