THE REPROBETTES

THESE GALS ARE HOT AND READY TO ROCK….DANGEROUS AND DELINQUINT!

You had better watch out there is a gang of girls on the loose who are armed and dangerous—with electric weapons and sticks.  They are wanted for jail breaking, inciting riots and creating wild fun and great music that will stimulate anyone to break the rules and have a good time!  So it is told that this gang of girls formed a band in 2012 and blasted their way onto the music scene in Melbourne Australia and have been on the run ever since armed with their sonic weapons.  They are known as the Reprobettes and play a deadly musical combination of fuzzy guitars, deadly 60s surf rhythms and screaming vocals.  You had better get ready because they are the female band with 60s rebel girls riding into your town on motorcycles ala She Devil on Wheels with guitars strapped on their backs ready for some action.  They are also going to hook you with their new CD which is just out on Off the Hip Records.

Last know, the band includes Shannon on guitar, Carol on drums, Kat on keys and vocals, and Jemma on bass and vocals.  They are armed with potent music  and wild beehives (that don’t behave) that will hook you fast and leave you energized and ready for more as these girls know a thing or two about making music that is solid and rocks heavy with the beat of a different era that will hook you fast.  They are sure fire all-girl garage growlers playing 60s  garage rock with soul and surf influences that include the Belles, The Renegades, The Shangri-Las, The 5678s, The B52s, The Cramps, and The Sonics,

Five tough girls armed with fuzzy guitars, deadly 60’s surf rhythms and the
perfect mix of sexy smooth vocals and wailing banshee screams! Jemma said about the Reprobettes. It channels 60’s garage, pop, soul and surf - with lots of organ, fuzz and
screams.

Yes, this band has the real attitude and sound of 60s girl groups revved up with plenty of fuzz and fun. It is music with plenty of energy.  As for inspiration of their writing Gemma said,  Robots, revenge, rebel girls, heartbreak, the lack of decent available men
in this city, girl motorcycle gangs, female emotions, and swarms of killer
bees. Things like that!

Our shows are frantic and fun, our beehives don’t behave and the crowd can
expect to not keep their feet still on the dance floor! There will be
harmonies, some oohs, some aaahs and a lot of screaming (the engineer of
our record, Neil Thomason says if there isn’t a murderous scream, it’s not
a Reprobettes song). There will be some fuzz too!

If you are looking for a fun time, great sounds, plenty of fuzz, and a wild show—then you had better catch the Reprobettes before The man does and let your hair down and join their fun.  Also be sure to get to their Facebook page and follow them and you can find their new album on their web site.  So, as these girls go they picked up playing while in prison and will tell you they won’t back down when it comes to playing music.
People might look at us and think we’re girls so we won’t be very good, but
usually they are surprised that we can play ok!
