There is surf music, surf bands, garage driven rock and music that will shake your soul...and then there is Thee Girl Fridays.  Yeah, Thee  Girl Fridays are a band from Eidenburough who combine wild garage rock, surf music, hip shaking girl gang lo-fi music that will raise the dead and keep you rocking with infectious sounds and beats.  They claim to be four high class but lo-fi dames ready to rock your socks off with their tight surf sounds and rocking music that will have you on the dance floor all night long.  They have been getting plenty of rave reviews playing the likes of the UK's premier garage, surf and beat festivals--the Franklin Fest, Blast Off! and Beatwave and do a mean big knicker twist!

Thee Girl Fridays have been delivering the great sounds since forming in 2016 with Sassy singer Soo Kazooki, go-go guitarist Flangelina and beatnik bassist Ms. Sheringham-Boo-- all proud graduates of the prestigious Edinburgh Girls Rock School. Add in darling drummer Rotator Cuff  previously who played with The Seafield Foxes and punk band Ugly Baby.

Ms. Boom has always had a sincere love for garage bands and 60's underground music since her teens and began DJaying before returning taking it to the next level with a live band.  Influences include the Mummies, Trashwomen, Trashmen, Headcoatees , Medway, Billy Childish, Pebbles, to 90's budget rock.  "I turned my passion for all of this into DJing for a while and latterly writing gig/record reviews about it.  I'd pretty much given up the idea of being in another band, but it was really just an excuse to buy my lovely Vox Teardrop bass!  It's also been great to connect with other fans of these genres all over the world.  You don't get into/make this kind of music for the money, it's pure passion, and it's in my blood and my bones."

Thee Girl Fridays bring back the girl gang image to the stage with their music, attitude and style.  "I like the lesser known girl band of the 60's.  A favorite song of mine is The Whyte Boots song 'Nightmare'--it's so trashy, dirty and dramatic.  When the song reaches it's crescendo, 'She didn't want to fight', it gives me goosebumps every time.  A massive influence and reason alone to be in a girl gang!"

"When we're good, we're very, very good, but when we're bad, we're even better because we are all from different music backgrounds which make us unique."

You can taste the sweet spicy sounds of Thee Girl Fridays on their four song release recorded this year with Angus McPake (Thanes, Les Bof!, MFC Chicken, The Sensation Seekers, The Gastronauts, Preston Pans & Seaton Sands) at Ravencraig Studios in Edinburgh.  The release includes four hot scorchers including  'The Love Witch', 'Shake-Shake!', 'Dracula Mwah-ha-ha-HA! and Too Much of a Good Thing.  Be sure to get their music and download and check out the videos.  Turn it up and shake your sense....!

Not only do they play great trashy rock and roll but are the only girl group out there that uses a kazoo!  Miss Kazooki says, "In a review of a show we did for the Blast Off! 2017 festival the writer said that 'Thee Girl Fridays are the first to use a kazoo proving that maybe the Sonics could have saved themselves some money and not used a saxophone as the kazoo gives a similar effect.'  Enough said!"
