The Monkees, MC5, New York Dolls, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Runaways, Cheap Trick, The Cars, The B52s, Depeche Mode, Sonny & Cher, Journey, Iron Maiden, Chicago, Def Leppard, Styx, Hall & Oates, Barry White, Joe Cocker, Grand Funk Railroad, Pat Benatar, Journey, The Cure, and The Smiths. Many of these groups have sales of over 100 million albums and been a success over 30 years! What more does it take? Maybe the list is just too long and the public has had the good fortunes of having quality music around for so long. That is a good thing! Let’s celebrate all those who made the cut this time around and pull for those who well deserve next time around!
